For those of you who don’t know our Graduation ceremony will be held at The Brindley Theatre on Monday 9th July 2018. The day will be split into 4 separate celebrations, one for each House. In this newsletter we are going to share with you the order of the day and some other key pieces of information, as I know you will be keen to know what time your child will be graduating.
Each Graduation celebration will last approximately 1 hour and times are as follows:
Bridgewater House – 8:55am. As an exception to the rest of the celebrations, we would ask for all Bridgewater House learners who are graduating to go directly to the Brindley Theatre. They will be registered before and after the event, then transported back to school after the celebration via coach. Could we please ask all learners to arrive at the Brindley Theatre for 8:15am in order to have all registers completed and all learners in their seats for an 8:55am start.
Brindley House – 10:30am. Learners will attend school as normal and then be transported to the theatre from school and back again via coach.
Castle House – 12:00pm. Learners will attend school as normal and then be transported to the theatre from school and back again via coach.
Priory House – 2:00pm. Learners will be transported from school to the Brindley Theatre via coach. However, learners within the Secondary phase or Primary Learners who are being accompanied by an adult will then be allowed to leave from the Brindley after the event, having completed all of the relevant registers. All other Primary learners will be returned to school via coach for their usual 3:00pm dismissal.
All learners who will be graduating will be receiving a letter very soon outlining this and other information. Attached to the letter is a permission slip, as learners will be leaving school premises it is important that you return your permission slip to Main Reception or Student Services by no later than Wednesday 27th June 2018 or your child will not be able to leave school and attend their graduation.
Due to the Brindley Theatre’s capacity of 400 seats, we are able to offer seating for 1 representative per learner within the audience (more seats may become available closer to the celebration once final numbers have been confirmed).
We hope that you have found the Graduation information informative and useful. We ask that you continue to feedback any comments you have as we are always open to new suggestions and ways that we can help each other to improve communication between the staff, learners and parents. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for all your support with Graduation, we can’t do this by ourselves and your continued support is appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and we look forward to writing to you in the next edition of the Newsletter.
